Jillian M. Stile, Ph.D.
Jillian M. Stile, PhD is a Clinical Psychologist and psychoanalyst. She is Instructor of Clinical Psychology in the Psychiatry Department of Columbia University Medical Center at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. She serves as Senior Advisor to the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma, Global Mental Health. She teaches PGY-3 residents at the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, has taught in the School of Human Studies at Ambedkar University of Delhi, and at William James College in Boston. She was previously Clinical Associate at the New School for Social Research where she supervised clinical psychology doctoral students. In 2024, she founded Sanite International, an NGO whose purpose is to promote healing environments in Haiti and beyond through the work of community psychoanalysis. She also consults with the mental health staff at Salaam Baalak Trust, an NGO that addresses the needs of street children in India and has conducted asylum evaluations for the Weill Cornell Center for Human Rights. In January 2025, Dr. Stile will serve as Chair of Programming for the Association for Psychoanalytic Medicine, the Society of Columbia Psychoanalytic, where she currently co-chairs Movie Night at the Thalia. She is a member of the International Psychoanalytical Association. She has authored articles on the topics of psychoanalysis, culture and identity and has presented internationally. She maintains a private practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and New York City.
